Dene Suline – Our people
— The town of La Loche and the Clearwater River Dene Nation are located in Northern Sasketchewan. 89% of it’s 3,000 inhabitants still primarily speak an indigenous language known as Dene. Currently the language is rapidly declining in favour of English. La Loche remains one of the last strongholds of the Dene language.
