Winner of the Golden Dolphin at Cannes Corporate Festival 2020.
The town of La Loche and the Clearwater River Dene Nation are located in Northern Sasketchewan. 89% of it’s 3,000 inhabitants still primarily speak an indigenous language known as Dene. Currently the language is rapidly declining in favour of English. La Loche remains one of the last strongholds of the Dene language.
Production took place in October 2019. The crew consisted of a Director, DP, AC, and a Swing/Drone Op. The idea of filming a language dying out within one generation seemed like an important topic to look into. We are delighted to have found international acclaim with this documentary.

TIMEFRAME films is a video production company and creative agency in the heart of Vancouver. We specialize in branded short form documentaries and commercials. We approach each story from a cinematic point of view. We always ask ourselves, how can we create stories that will move people?
In the past we have worked with companies like Safeway, A&W and Red Bull. We also partner with many charitable organizations and hospitals.
